Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was born in the Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh on November 19, 1917. She was daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, an imperative figure in the India's Freedom Movement, a step committed to the change of culture inside the country. Later she turned into India's first PM. As a result of political convictions, Nehru, alongside with his family, was frequently imprisoned for supporting Mohandas Gandhi's (1869–1948) freedom Movement. Mohandas Gandhi opposed the rule of Great Britain over India. This move set Indira at the focal point of India's battle for independence. India observes National Integration Day or Quami Ekta Divas which falls on November 19, each year, being Indira Gandhi's birth day.
